How to Take

Take one capsule, three times a day before meals or as directed by your healthcare professional. This product may cause mild gastrointestinal discomfort. New users should take one capsule daily for a week to assess tolerance.

Start with one capsule a day. Don’t take it right before lunch, but about mid-morning once you feel your stomach emptying from breakfast but before you’re really hungry. You may find one capsule a day is enough, but if you wish, you can go up to 2 and eventually 3 if you need to. 

If you’re prone to heartburn or acid reflux, go cautiously because it could make it worse - though for most people this eases off during the first couple of weeks. If it persists, stop using berberine. 

Don’t skip meals. Berberine can’t be taken on a completely empty stomach.

Berberine is not suitable for individuals with diabetes. Do not use if you are taking any medication for diabetes or pre-diabetes. Berberine is not suitable for people using any weight management medicines used for the purpose of dieting.

Berberine is not suitable for people who suffer from gastroparesis, acid reflux or GERD. It can slow the rate at which food leaves the stomach.
